Who needs a Laser and IPL device registration, certified laser technicians and physician delegation in Arizona?

Issued by Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of Radiation Control; Arizona Medical Board; Arizona State Board of Nursing, at step 4 of 6 in the opening sequence: get the permits for your kind of business.

1 of the 20 kinds of business in Arizona

Every cosmetic laser or IPL device is registered with the Bureau, which requires a laser safety officer, and is operated only by a health professional within scope or by a certified laser technician trained under the rules, with hair reduction under indirect and other procedures under direct supervision of a prescribing professional. Injectables such as neurotoxins and fillers are medical treatments given by a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant, or by a nurse on a licensed prescriber’s order after an assessment, and never by a cosmetology or aesthetics licensee.
