Who needs a physician oversight and cosmetic laser practitioner licenses in Georgia?

Issued by Georgia Composite Medical Board, at step 4 of 6 in the opening sequence: get the permits for your kind of business.

1 of the 20 kinds of business in Georgia

Injectables and medical-grade treatments are the practice of medicine, done by or under a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner with a written protocol. Laser hair removal and pulsed-light skin treatments need a cosmetic laser practitioner license, with assistant laser practitioners supervised on site except for hair removal. Tattoo removal and ablative lasers fall outside that license and stay with licensed medical staff.
