Who needs a physician delegation and supervision (no facility license) in Texas?

Issued by Texas Medical Board, at step 4 of 6 in the opening sequence: get the permits for your kind of business.

1 of the 20 kinds of business in Texas

Injectables, laser treatments and other nonsurgical cosmetic procedures are the practice of medicine in Texas. A physician must examine the patient, keep written protocols and supervise whoever performs the procedure: on site, or immediately available for an emergency consultation. The Board has issued cease-and-desist orders to injectors working without a physician medical director. This is a contract and compliance cost rather than a permit fee.
