Who needs no health club registration; membership contracts under the Consumer Protection Act in Idaho?

Issued by Idaho Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division, at step 4 of 6 in the opening sequence: get the permits for your kind of business.

2 of the 20 kinds of business in Idaho

Idaho has no health club or health spa law, so there is no registration, bond or statutory cancellation right. Memberships fall under the Consumer Protection Act: an automatic renewal must be disclosed clearly, with an easy cancellation method and a toll-free number if cancellation is by phone, and one-sided or misleading terms are unlawful practices the Attorney General can act on. Only the city license and zoning rows above apply.
