Who needs a brewer, micro brewer or farm brewer license in New York?

Issued by New York State Liquor Authority, at step 5 of 6 in the opening sequence: alcohol permits.

1 of the 20 kinds of business in New York

A farm brewer using New York ingredients may run up to five offsite tasting rooms and sell by the glass at the brewery; a micro brewer tastes and sells its own beer on site. The federal brewer’s notice from the TTB comes first, and a bond is required with the manufacturer license.
