Who needs a health spa services law: no registration, contract rules and a pre-opening bond in Indiana?

Issued by Indiana Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division (Indiana Code 24-5-7); Secretary of State for the bond, at step 4 of 6 in the opening sequence: get the permits for your kind of business.

2 of the 20 kinds of business in Indiana

Indiana has no health club registration. The Health Spa Services chapter writes cancellation and refund rights into every membership contract, limits what a club may collect in advance, and makes a buyer of the club liable on existing memberships; breaches are deceptive acts enforced by the Attorney General under the Deceptive Consumer Sales Act. Only presales for a planned facility need the bond.
