Who needs no health club registration; membership contracts under the Consumer Protection Act in Wyoming?

Issued by Wyoming Attorney General, Consumer Protection Unit, at step 4 of 6 in the opening sequence: get the permits for your kind of business.

2 of the 20 kinds of business in Wyoming

Wyoming has no health club or health spa law, so a gym or studio registers nothing, posts no bond and follows no statutory cancellation clause. Membership sales, automatic renewals and refunds fall under the Consumer Protection Act’s ban on deceptive trade practices, so put the term, the renewal and the cancellation method in plain words in the contract. The city may still license the storefront.
