Who needs a health spa annual registration in Arkansas?

Issued by Arkansas Secretary of State (Health Spa Consumer Protection Act), at step 4 of 6 in the opening sequence: get the permits for your kind of business.

2 of the 20 kinds of business in Arkansas

Any business selling memberships for exercise, weight loss or fitness facilities files the registration statement with the Secretary of State before selling any contract, naming the spa, its officers and owners and the facilities offered. The Act writes cancellation and refund rights into every contract, makes a nonconforming contract voidable by the buyer and requires refunds within 30 days of a cancellation notice. The 1989 Act originally registered spas with the Attorney General; the filing now goes to the Secretary of State.
