Who needs a class 5 brewery or Class 7 micro-brewery license in Maryland?

Issued by Maryland Alcohol, Tobacco, and Cannabis Commission (ATCC), at step 5 of 6 in the opening sequence: alcohol permits.

1 of the 20 kinds of business in Maryland

A Class 5 brewery brews without limit and may sell its own beer by the glass and to go at the taproom within the barrel limits in 2-208. A Class 7 micro-brewery is the brewpub license, issued alongside a county Class B or D license for the restaurant it sits in, with brewing capped at 22,500 barrels a year. The federal TTB brewer’s notice comes first and the county must approve the premises.
